Volleyball Albury Wodonga

Originally founded as the Albury Wodonga Volleyball Association in 1976, our club has been a cornerstone of the sport in the region. From humble beginnings at the Albury Showgrounds, the association helped establish volleyball as a foundation sport at both the Albury Sports Stadium (now Lauren Jackson Sports Centre) and the Wodonga Sports and Leisure Centre in 1984.

For almost half a century, the association has fostered strong local competitions, hosting multiple divisions, with participation reaching impressive numbers. It has also played a vital role in elite-level volleyball, with local teams achieving success in the Victorian Country Championships and national competitions. The association has hosted major tournaments, including the Australian National Under 15 Championships before its incorporation into the National Youth Championships.

Today, Volleyball Albury Wodonga runs both indoor and outdoor leagues throughout the year, creating opportunities for players of all levels to develop their skills and connect with the community. Driven by a mission to make volleyball accessible to all, we strive to promote inclusivity and excellence through dedication, teamwork, and hard work.
